Ride Out - 2023 Part Deux

What a great day!

What an amazing day! Saturday 19th August 2023 saw the second RiderCamTV Rideout in Cornwall.

Following on from the weather warnings the day before, it turned out in true Cornish fashion to be a really lovely day with bright sunshine and warmth for the whole day!

Our route, expertly devised by Mark took us from Damerells Motorcycles, past the Newquay Airport and onto the coast road through to Wadebridge.  From there we headed over to Dobwalls and Camelford before heading through Bodmin and onto the Cornwall Services for a mid ride break!  After everyone was fed and watered we headed through Roche and St Austell and onto Tregony to ride a road that has been affectionately named the ‘Top Gear Road’, which is full of twists and turns surrounded by glorious countryside.  We then headed through another favourite biking road called Laddock and back to Damerells Motorcycles.

Cornish Sting was on hand at the end of the ride with an assortment of fabulous home cooked cakes and refreshments too!

This year we wanted to help others in Cornwall and are proud to say that everyone that came supported the wonderful new charity, Out of the Woods CIC who provide therapeutic interventions for children and young people in Cornwall.  We were able to support them with a donation of £60 as well as their collection tin that raised £60 too! Well done all!

This year they donated a BMW Navigator VI for our prize raffle which blew us away!

Our Prize Raffle

Our prize raffle was a real hit this year with prizes having been donated from Damerells Motorcycles  and Ocean BMW to name but a few.  The draw included cameras, T-Shirts, Mugs, Royal Enfield & CF Moto goodies, tools and other items we had picked up through the year as well as our star prize, donated by Ocean BMW, a Navigator VI.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Supporting

This year we are supporting Out OfThe Woods CIC who aim to provide therapeutic interventions for children and young people in Cornwall who are experiencing difficulties.  They offer resources, training and courses for families and organisations.

We will be making a donation from the proceeds taken from the raffle and refreshments at the end of the ride.

We will be running another RiderCamTV Rideout next year and hope to make it bigger and better, so keep your eyes peeled for details nearer the time.
